Who are we?
In August of 2022, Max suggested to his mom, Jenn, that they form a partnership to open up a home and commercial cleaning company in Grand Rapids. They wanted to disrupt the local cleaning industry by offering instant quotes, vetting professional cleaners for customers, and paying those professionals a fair wage.
One month and many late nights later, they launched Keep.

Jenn is a mother who loves to write, swim in the coldest water she can find, and cook for those she loves. Her favorite part of the week is Saturday afternoon when chores are done, the house is clean and smells like Murphy's Oil Soap, and a day of rest has begun.

Max graduated in 2020 from the University of Michigan with a degree in Political Science. He is the oldest of Jenn and Tony Tendero's six children, owner of Christmas Lights Detroit, Black Lab dad, and impressively mediocre golfer.

The idea for Keep. A Cleaning Company was born out of a desire for change. Founders Max and his mom, Jenn Tendero, knew the cleaning industry in West Michigan was ripe for disruption. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment are subject to a cancellation fee of $50, and re-scheduled appointments a fee of $25.
Yes, we occasionally offer special promotions and discounts, especially for recurring cleaning services - if you get on a regular cleaning schedule with us you will enjoy lower rates than booking individual appointments! The frequency of cleaning appointments depends on your preferences and needs. We offer flexible scheduling options, including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or one-time deep cleans. We recommend getting on a recurring schedule; our recommendation is to start a recurring schedule with an initial deep clean and then regularly scheduled standard cleans to maintain your results long term and enjoy a clean space indefinitely!
Yes, we are fully insured providing you with peace of mind and protection for your home. Upon request, we are happy to provide backup proof and documentation!

Absolutely! You can request specific tasks or areas of focus to ensure your complete satisfaction. With the click of a button you can view and customize upcoming appointment times and services directly from there.
We bring our own home cleaning supplies and equipment, all of which are professional-grade. You don't need to worry about providing anything; we've got it covered. In the case that you have preferred cleaning products that you would like us to use, please notify us and have it readily available for us in time for your scheduled appointment.
We only accept Credit Card payments at this time. Please note, while Cards will not be charged until AFTER the cleaning appointment is completed, we will place a hold on your Card the morning of your booking. You will need to submit a valid Credit Card to secure your booking.
You do not need to be home during the cleaning appointment unless you prefer to be. Many of our clients provide access instructions, and our professional cleaning team can handle the job efficiently whether you're present or not. Every Keep cleaner is background checked, fully insured, and have personally cleaned Jenn's (one of our owners) home.
Yes, we prioritize your safety and the environment. We use safe and eco-friendly cleaning products and methods to ensure a healthy and sustainable cleaning experience for your home. The majority of our cleaning products are from Blueland, an eco-friendly manufacturer. In the bathrooms we may use products containing bleach, like soft scrub or Clorox toilet bowl cleaner. If you'd like us to use a specific eco-friendly product, we'd be more than happy to do so. Simply have it set out ahead of time and we'll go to work.
Our cleaning service cost is highly variable and specific to your needs, based on the square footage of your home, the type of service you choose (standard, deep clean, move-in/move-out), the condition of your home, and any selected extras, if applicable. By Providing all the necessary details through our online contact form, we will be able to reach out to you ASAP and provide an accurate pricing estimate!
We offer routine cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and post-construction cleaning services for residential homes.
